At QCRI, Georgos is focusing on next generation Big Data Systems with an emphasis on Graph processing systems, and Cloud Computing. Additionally, his research interests include Small Data Architectures and Peer-to-Peer Systems.
Previous to joining QCRI, Georgos was a Researcher at Telefonica Research in Barcelona, Spain working on Peer to Peer and Big Data Systems where among others things he bootstrapped the Grafos.ml open-source project, and worked on a number of telecommunications focused products. While completing his PhD at the University of California, Riverside, Georgos worked on Inter-domain routing problems and the Internet topology.
